Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection and Use

The type of data we collect depends entirely on which application you are using.

A. For Games (Neon Circuit, Cognitive Challenge, Byte-Sized Tycoon & HiLo Card Club)

• Direct Collection: We do not directly collect, request, or store any personally identifiable information (PII) from users.
• Third-Party Collection: These free apps use third-party services (such as Google AdMob) that may automatically collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and app interaction data to display advertisements.

B. For Scheduling & Booking Utilities (Sal Biondo Pitching)

To provide scheduling, client registration, and roster management, we collect specific information that you voluntarily provide when creating an account:

• Account Credentials: Name, email address, and phone number (used strictly for account creation, login authentication, and booking notifications).
• Scheduling and Player Profiles: Parent/guardian account holders may optionally add player names, lesson history, and preferred times for the purpose of scheduling and tracking pitching lessons.
• No Advertising: This utility does not display advertisements, does not track your behavior across other apps, and does not share your data with advertising networks.

C. For On-Device Photo Utilities (Image Shrinker)

Image Shrinker resizes and compresses photos and removes the hidden data they carry. It is built so that your photos never leave your device:

• No Uploads, No Account: Every photo is processed entirely on your device. We operate no server that receives images, we have no account system, and no image, metadata or file listing is ever transmitted to us.
• Photo Metadata: Photos taken on phones usually embed hidden data such as the capture date, camera model and GPS location. The app reads that embedded data on your device only, to show you what a photo contains and to remove it. If you turn off the "remove metadata" setting, that data is preserved in your output instead. Either way, it is never sent anywhere.
• Photo Library Access: The app asks for access to your photo library so you can choose photos to shrink and save the results back. It does not scan, index, read or transmit the rest of your library. Shrunk copies are written only to the app's own cache until you save or share them, and that cache can be cleared at any time in Settings.
• Advertising: The free version displays ads through Google AdMob (see section 2). Ads are shown on the results screen only, and no photo content or photo metadata is ever shared with the ad network.
• Purchases: The optional upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.

D. For Web Tools (booleanbros.com/shrink)

Our browser tools compress, resize and convert images without a server. They are covered by this policy in the same way as the app:

• Processing: Images are decoded, resized and re-encoded by your own browser. The files you select are never transmitted to us or to any third party — there is no upload endpoint on this site.
• No accounts, no cookies: The tools require no account and set no cookies. For aggregate traffic counts across this website we load one small cookieless counter (GoatCounter, see section 2) that records only the page path, the referring site and coarse browser/OS information. It sets no cookies, keeps no identifiers and cannot follow you to other sites. We do not run advertising or session-recording scripts on these pages.
• HEIC decoder: The HEIC-to-JPG tool loads a decoding library (heic-to / libheif, LGPL-3.0) from our own domain on first use. It runs locally in your browser and makes no network requests of its own.
• What is stored: Nothing is stored on our side. Copies you download live in your browser's download folder, and page data may sit in your browser cache until you clear it, exactly like any other website.
• Server logs: Our host (GitHub Pages) may record standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention. We do not combine those logs with anything else or use them to identify visitors.

2. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to keep our apps functional and secure. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Depending on the app you use, data may be processed by:

• Google AdMob (Free Apps): Used in our games and in the free tier of Image Shrinker to provide advertising. AdMob's data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No photo content or photo metadata is ever shared with our ad partners.
• Database & Hosting (Scheduling App Only): Secure cloud-based databases (such as Neon PostgreSQL) are used to host and safely protect your user accounts, calendar slots, and booking statuses.
• Authentication Services: Standard secure identity provider tools used to authenticate and protect user accounts during log in.
• App Store & Google Play (In-App Purchases): Any paid upgrade (for example Image Shrinker Pro) is processed by Apple or Google. Your payment details are handled by the store, never by us, and the store's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.
• GoatCounter (Website Traffic Only): Our web pages use GoatCounter, a cookieless, privacy-first web counter (operated by GoatCounter Software, hosted in the EU). It records pageviews as aggregate counts — page path, referring domain, browser, operating system and country — and derives a once-a-day visitor hash that is discarded at the end of the day. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiles, and no data is used for advertising. Details: GoatCounter's privacy policy.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We take the privacy of young athletes and children very seriously.

• Our Games: Our gaming applications are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information through them.
• Our Scheduling Utility (Sal Biondo Pitching): While pitching lessons are frequently scheduled for youth athletes, only parents, legal guardians, or individuals over the age of 18 are permitted to create accounts or submit information.
  • We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.
  • Any player profile data (such as a child's name or age) must be entered exclusively by a parent or legal guardian. This information is used strictly to manage the schedule and lesson roster for your pitching instructor.
  • If you believe a child under 13 has directly registered an account, please contact us immediately, and we will delete the account data.

4. User Rights and Data Deletion

You have full control over your personal data.

• Account Deletion: Users of our scheduling utility can request the complete deletion of their account and all associated booking/player history at any time.
• Opt-Out (Games & Free Apps): You can opt out of personalized advertising in our applications by adjusting the privacy settings on your iOS or Android device.
• Photos (Image Shrinker): There is nothing for us to delete, because your photos never reach us. You stay in control of the files: the app's temporary copies can be cleared in Settings, and anything you saved to your library is yours to delete from Photos.
• Web tools: Same position — nothing is stored on our servers, so there is no record to erase. Clearing your browser's cache and download folder removes everything the tool produced.
• EU/UK and California residents: You have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. For our games and photo tools we hold none; for the scheduling app, email us and we will action the request. We do not sell personal information.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our applications or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
