Need exact file sizes as well as exact pixels? Image Shrinker does both on your phone, entirely offline.
Fit or fill
Fit scales the photo down until both sides fit inside your target, then pads the short side with white — or transparency if you export PNG. Nothing is cropped. Use it when the whole photo has to survive — documents, screenshots, anything with content near the edges.
Fill scales until the photo covers the target, then crops the overflow. Use it when the frame must be completely covered and losing the edges is acceptable — avatars, square product shots, anything with the subject in the middle.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. There is no backend. The page contains all the code it needs and your browser does the decoding and resizing locally. Disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
How do I make a 2×2 inch photo?
At 300 DPI, 2×2 inches is 600×600 pixels. Choose the 2×2 inch preset, use fill to crop to a square, and export as JPEG.
Does resizing remove EXIF and GPS data?
Yes. Re-encoding through a canvas writes a fresh file with no EXIF block, so GPS coordinates, capture time and camera model are dropped. Rotation is applied to the pixels first, so portrait photos stay upright.
Will it upscale a small image?
It will, but it cannot invent detail. If you ask for 4000 px from a 600 px photo you get a larger, softer image. Downscaling is always the better direction.
